Jackson's birthday party

I can't believe that Jackson is already turning 1. Where did the year go? It seems like just yesturday we were patiently waiting to meet Jackson, and now I can't imagine how life was without him. He is such a sweet and funny little boy who brings a lot of joy in our lives.
His birthday isn't until tomorrow, but we had a fun get-together yesturday. Jackson had some fun with his cake. There was definatly more on him than in his mouth, (as was expected). His favorite toy was a push along lawn mower from Haley and Ty. He later realized that the rest of his toys were really fun too. Jackson also had some fun feeding our dog Kimi. While in his highchair he passed Kimi food and everytime Kimi took something from his hand he laughed. (Those two are quickly becoming the best of friends.) I think everyone had a good time. It was fun to spend time more time with our families. Kaitlyn and Dylan were excited about the party all week. They had fun decorating the cake and tables, and had a blast playing with their cousins. When it was all over Kaitlyn and Dylan said, "Mom, we had a really fun time today." I am glad. I had a fun time too.

Jackson is just happy to be at Nana's house with his cousins Becky, Brandon, and Ben.

The kids look so happy to get their picture taken. "Just take the picture mom!" Easter 2009.

The Sanders Family Memories

We (my husband Scott and I )have three children. Kaitlyn, 7 years old, Dylan 5 years and my baby Jackson, who is going to turn 1 this September. Life gets a little too crazy sometimes. There is school, homework, lessons, Soccer, and friends for the older kids, then diapers, spit up, waking at night, and monitoring the stairs for little Jackson. On top of that there are church callings, house work, bills, dinner, volunteering at the school, organizing and shopping to be done. I can get so caught up in everything and never take the time to reflect on the day, to remember the funny things the kids did and our daily or weekly experiences, and to reflect on my role as a mother and wife. This is the reason for my blog page. To capture memories and thoughts and to learn more about myself and my family.
